:) I have the same issue. Take a look at the rrdpoller and rrdpollerd perl projects. Olivier Poitrey, the author has implemented some of the RRDs functions over rpc-xml. I don't think it will plug right in to DRRAW but it seems like a good place to start.

you're not talking about exporting the actual rrd here are you? more like
exporting the parts that need to be plotted, right?
