swdirs.8

SYNOPSIS

       swdirs [ -c | -d ] [ <package-name> ]

DESCRIPTION

The swdirs utility is used to manually create a hierarchy of common
directories in preparation for a software package to be installed.
While this is most certainly useless for most software packages, many
others will fail to install properly unless some essential directories
       are already present.

After having installed the software, swdirs should be used again to
remove any directory it created but was left empty.

OPTIONS

-c This switch is used to create the directories.

-d This switch is used to remove empty directories.

ENVIRONMENT VARIABLES

swdirs will use the following environment variables if set:

       SWPKG_NAME
              The package name.

       SWPKG_TARGET
Overrides the swln compiled in default target directory.
